Baystate Environmental Consultants, Inc., (a wholly-owned subsidiary of GZA)

Baystate Environmental Consultants (BEC) was formed in 1972 as a firm specializing in civil engineering, natural resource management, environmental permitting, and environmental land planning. The firm was acquired in 2007 and will continue to operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of GZA.

BEC’s civil engineers, planners and environmental scientists work hand-in-hand with its wide range of clientele to minimize environmental impact while providing cost conscious and innovative solutions to project needs. BEC has provided technical assistance and design services for site planners, developers, municipal and state agencies, private and public water resource owners and lakes management. Much of BEC's focus is on water resource projects that necessitate a strong interaction of practical civil engineering and the environmental sciences.
